Roundhay Park is one of themost poular parks in Leeds. It is over 700 acres in size and has lakes, rolling parklands and woods as well as all the usual park facilities. There are tree trails, geology trails as well lakeside and longer walks.
Dotted around the park are a number of Victorian buildings, from bandstands to temples. For keen gardners wihin the park are four speciality gardens, which were previously Yorkshire entries to the Chelsea Flower show. A land train operates during the summer and busy periods.
Sports pitches include tennis, football, cricket, rugby and there is a grass cycle track. The beginning of the Wyke Beck Way cycle route to Temple Newsam also starts here. There is also a children's play area, skate park and visitor centre.

The park is apublic access park, ticketed events are occassional held in sectors of the park, which may restrict some access to none ticket holders.
