Kiplin Hall - Yorkshire Stately Home
Built in 1620 as a hunting lodge, Kiplin Hall is in the Vale of Mowbray. The Hall has 17 rooms which are open to the public, and the extensive grounds are undergoing to restoration to return them to designs from 400 years ago.
The rooms open to the public at Kiplin Hall are spread over 3 floors, each contain furnishings from the previous owners. While the style across the Hall is broadly Victorian the paintings, furniture and personalia are an eclectic mix.Ground Floor:

After many years in decline the gardens and grounds of Kiplin hall are steadily being transformed to their former glory. There are several distinct areas to the gardens and grounds, including the Topiary garden. this garden is almost fully restored and the peacocks, pyramids and domes in the hedges enthrall all ages.
The Rose Garden is filled with plants chosen for their reltionship to old roses and for fragrance and longevity. The diamond shapes in the footpaths reflects the Halls 17th century brickwork.
The Walled Garden was created in the 18th century, new paths have been created, fruit trees planted and vegetable beds laid.
There is also a sensory garden, a lakeside walk, approx a mile in length and several footpaths in the peninsula woods.

Some of the woodland trails are inaccessible as are the upper floors of the house to wheelchair users, the ground floor of the house and gardens are fully accessible. A brochure of photographs of the upper rooms is available to view.
Free admission for carers of visitors with disabilities.

Disabled parking is available.
There are 4 wheelchairs available for visitors, one is suitable for rougher terrian, although there are still areas of the woodlands which as inaccessible.
