Middleham Castle sits in centre of Middleham, perched over the Ure Valley. The Castle was built in 1190 and was the childhood home of Richard III. The Castle remains are extensive, and a climb up the keep provides extensive views of Wensleydale.
An exhibition provides details of the previous residents of the Castle, and information boards provide detials of the layout and uses of the rooms within the castle.

Weekends only 10:00 to 16:00 3rd November to 29th March 2015.
Parking available on nearby streets
Most of the walkways are grass, the floor of the keep is smooth and even.
