The historic 700 year old Ripley Castle is year round visitor attraction for all ages. Daily house tours take place with guides delving into the history of the Ingilby family who have resided in the Castle for all the 700 years! Gruesome, adventurous and colourful tales will be told. Children's castle tours are held on weekends and during school holidays.
The grounds of the castle are a pleasure to visit around the year, footpaths meander and cross allowing youto create a walk to suit you. The walled gardens are a particular highlight in spring and summer, the kitchen garden has a wealth of vegatbles and herb. Tropical hothouses support a variety of cacti, ferns and tropical plant sepcies.
Over the waterfall bridge is the Deer path, with a variety of wildlife and ancient trees, and stunning views back across the ornamental lake to the castle. Within the grounds of the castle is Log Heights treetop adventure course.

Disabled Parking Spaces are available close to the gift shop. Two electric mobility buggies are available for guest use. Accessible toilets are located in the tearoom.
The entrance to the castle is ramped and 4 of the 6 rooms on the tour are accessible to wheelchairs, a DVD tour of the upper rooms is available. The gift shop and tea room are fully acessible. There are cobblestones in the main courtyard and on some footpaths in Ripley village.
Hearing induction loops are available. Partially sighted and blind people are invited to handle some of the objects disucssed during the house tour.
