Wentworth Castle Gardens

Wentworth Castle is a grade 1 listed country house set in 500 acres of grounds. The house is only occassionally open for guided tours, the real reason to visit is to explore the wonderfully diverse gardens and the recently restored Victorian conservatory.

There are 60 acres of gardens ranging from the formal Union Jack and Secret Gardens to the infromal wilderness area. Garden tours are avilable at selected times or just stroll and explore. Within the gardens there is a children's adventure playground area for younger visitors.

The historic Stainborough Park is a mixture of parkland, woodland and farmland including a deer park. Within the area are a number of monuments which can be explored on the monuments trail.
