South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum
The South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum is home to many of the exhibits from the airst ever airshow held in Britain at the Doncaster Racecourse in 1909. This display is complemented by a range of modern fast jets, light aircraft, rockets and helicopters.
There are a range of interactive exhibits and open cockpits to entertan visitors and provide in-depth insight into the world of aircraft in Britain. The aircraft museum is located on a former World War II airbase which adds to the ambience and experience.

Open Cockpit Days
18th & 19th October
Selected cockpits not usually open to the public are available to enter with volunteers in attendance. All ages and abilities welcome. One cockpit has wheelchair access. Family quizzes and activity sheets available.
13th & 14th December
Entrance Fee includes tea or coffee with mince pie or chocolate. Father Christmas will be at the museum from 11 am. Kids can post a letter and take home a surprise present. 10% off all models and kits in the shop and cockpits open in the hangar.
