Yorkshire Sculpture Park Outdoor art gallery

The Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a predominantly outdoor art gallery situtated just outside of Wakefield in West Yorkshire. The gallery displays a combination of permanent works and temporary exhibitions, from a range of British and International artists.

Many of the works are set in the 500 acres of rolling landscape of the estate, which consists of fields, formal gardens, woodlands and water features. There are usually about 60 sculptures set out in the fresh around the grounds with a variety of walk ways and trails connecting the works.

Additionally there are 5 indoor galleries at the YSP, which house a variety of works. The Underground, Bothy and Garden Galleries are all at or near the main YSP centre.

Opening Times & Prices

Entry to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park is free.
There are car parking charges.

The Park id open daily except 24th & 25th December. opening hours are from 10:00 and the gates are locked each evening at 18:00
The main centre and galleries usually close 1 to 2 hour prior to the gates closing depending on the season.

Blue badge parking is available. Toilets are wheelchair accessible and baby change facilties are available.

Due to terrian certain areas of the parkland are difficult for wheelchairs to access. Mobility scooters are available to use, booking is advised. All the indoor galleries are wheelchair accessible.

A regular shuttle bus runs from the main centre to the Longside Gallery.
