Situated to the South of Ilkley and immediately accesible from the town centre is Ilkley moor, the area is very popular with walkers, climbers, geologists and wildlife. Without heading far onto the moor you can experience delightful panoramic vistas.
The Cow and Calf Rocks, part of Ilkley Quarry are one of the most famous landmarks of the moor, and are very popular with climbers. There are also several heritage walks which highlight the flora and fauna of the moors as well as visiting twelve apostles stone circles and the carved stones.
