Beningbrough Hall - Stately Hall - York
Built in 1716 Beningbrough Hall is a Georgian property set in beautiful gardens and parkland. The Hall provides a home for an extensive collection of over 100 portraits on loan from the National Portrait Gallery, with a hands on gallery to create your own unique potrait. The interior of the house is one of Britain's finest Baroque interiors. There is also a fully working Victorian laundry and "below stairs" area, with regular "hidden house" tours.
The grounds have a working walled garden, which provides produce for the restaurant, colourful Edwardian borders, a woodland play area, family trails and lots of space for outdoor fun.
The hall has a series of easy family friendly walks around the surrounding park and farmlands, including seasonal wildlife highlights on route.
