Hadraw Force

Hardraw Force England's Highest Single Drop Waterfall is set in fifteen acres of woodland. The waterfall set is within the grounds of the Green Dragon Pub, access to the visitor centre is via the pub. In the late 1800's the Lord Wharncliffe constructed a series of pathways (some paved with local stone) and bridges linking the Inn, Waterfall, the upper Shaw Gill Falls and his Simonstone Hall Shooting Lodge.  Four of these paths are within the grounds of the Green Dragon and are being restored to their former glory. 

The Green Dragon is a pleasant short riverside walk away from Hawes, or as an alternative walk from Hawes up to Sedbusk, follow the ridge and drop down to the Green Dragon. return to Hawes via the riverside footpath. this walk is approximately 5 miles and is a god family walk with many stiles and a visit to the waterfall to keep the jkids occupied and entertained.

The Waterfall is open daily
(10am in winter and 8am in Summer) until dusk.

Child £1.50 per child.
Under 5's free.
