Braithwaite Hall is a National Trust 17th-century tenanted farmhouse, in beautiful Coverdale. The hall, sitting room and carved staircase are on show to visitors. The property is tenanted and is avilable to view by appointment only.
The Hall is not typical of a Yorkshire Dales property, it is thought that the grand appearance may be linking to lead mining on the estate. There are public rights of way in the grounds of the hall and along the River Cover.
