The annual festival celebrating York's viking heritage. With events at the Jorvik Viking centre and throughout the city, events vary from an annual best beard competition, strongman competition to children's puppet shows and the festival finale with a viking battle and funeral.

Horrid Henry's House of Horror
learn to draw Henry with Tony Ross illustrator of the books, Henry's monster dress up, henry's monster makeover, animation workshops, special effects horror display, and even a visit from Henry's author Francesca Simon (wednesday), all events are free. Not all events are on everyday.
