Bedale Park

Bedale is a North Yorkshire Historic market town in Swaledale to the East of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The town has a weekly market on Tuesdays, and many independent shops lining the main rad and market square.

In centre of town is The Bedale Museum which shows life gone-byin the town and surrounding area. As Bedale is mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1086 that's an extensive hostory! St Gregory's Church across from the museum is regarded as one of the finest examples of a 12th Century church in the country. Bedale Park is situated behind the Museum, it has an open space as well as a childrens play area.

If you're looking for a little more adventure then try Aerial Extreme and Action Adventure at Camp Hill. Both are only a short drive from teh town centre at the same site. Aeruial extreme offers adventure in the treetops, and Camp Hill has a range of adventures for all ages from quad bikes and segways, to assault courses and zorbing.

Looking for something more gentle enjoy one of many walks around the town and surroundings, or visit Thorp Perrow Arboretum. Thorp Perrow has a bird of Prey Centre, wildlife and mammal zone as well as many unique trees and plants.
