Magna offers people of all ages a fun and informative day out. Set inside one of Rotherham's former steelworks the unique environamnt adds to your experience. The "Big Melt" display pays homage to the buildings former use, using pyrotechnics, lights and smoke to bring one of the steelworks electric arc furnace to life.
Meet the residents of the farm! Cannon Hall Farm is home to catle, sheep, pigs, goats, ponies, cattle, llama and an array of small animals, throughout the year baby animals can be viewed. The farm also has one of the best children's playgrounds in the county, suitable for a wide range of ages.

Take a world wildlife safari on foot at the unique Yorkshire Wildlife Park. The park offers spacious enclosures combined with unique viewing opportunities for visitors. Wildlife varies from endangered predator to cute and furry.
The new Experience Barnsley Museum provides a unique insight into life in Barnsley from Roman occupation to the present day. The majority of the artefacts and exhibits in the musuem were donated by local people, lending a personal touch to the displays.

The South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum is home to many of the exhibits from the airst ever airshow held in Britain at the Doncaster Racecourse in 1909. This display is complemented by a range of modern fast jets, light aircraft, rockets and helicopters.
Potteric Carr Nature Reserve is the flagship reserve of the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. The reserve is over 200 hectares and has over 8km of walking trails, many of which are accessible by wheelchair and with pushchairs. There are several way marked trails with points of interest and viewing hides along the way.
Tropical Butterfly House, Wildlife and Falconry Centre offer a fun-filled and educational family day out. The centre is home to wide variety of animals of all kinds; furry, feathered and scaly. Regular ranger talks ensure you'll learn some interesting facts about the residents at the centre.
The Elsecar Heritage Railway is a volunteer run, maintained and operated service which operates on Sundays between Easter and November. The service operates heriatge and preserved steam trains and diesel locomotives.
Heeley City Farm is a community led initiative which provides a fun, educational and FREE day out for visitors, meet the animals, learn about sustainable energy, enjoy a meal at the cafe and enjoy some of the regualr activities available.
Cannon Hall Museum is housed in the Canon Hall Stately home, it houses the Regimental Museum of the 13th/18th Royal Hussars (Queen Mary’s Own) and the Light Dragoons, as well as art, and furniture collections. The Cannon Hall country Park features the fairyland and cottage gardens as well as sweeping grasslands.
Brodsworth Hall and gardens are an English Heritage Property near Doncaster. The Victorian country house remains as if it were still a family home. The house has over 30 rooms from grand reception rooms to servant quarters, all furnished with period pieces from the furniture to the family mementoes and domestic items.
