Dark Skies Festival
18th to 26th February 2017
The Yorkshire Dales National Park and North Yorkshire Moors National Park have are teaming up this half term to bring you the Dark Skies Festival. A week packed with events for all ages to learn more about the sky at night. Events include star gazing, making rocket making, talks and a night bike ride.
27th May to 10th June
Swaledale Festival is an annual celebration of music and arts in the beautiful landscape of the three northernmost Yorkshire Dales - Swaledale, Wensleydale and Arkengarthdale.
This year, as always, the Swaledale Festival offers an eclectic and inspiring mix of world class classical, folk and jazz music, exceptional young artists, entertaining groups, drama, film, dance, art exhibitions, workshops, talks and guided walks in the beautiful Dales landscape.
16th June to 1st July
15 days of spectacular events for audiences young and old, featuring national names and the local community, music, theatre, arts, walks and much more. Headliners in for 2017 include Newton Faulkner & Bananarama.
Dales Festival of Food & Drink
17th & 18th June
Sampling local produce and food in the Food Hall, watching cookery and farming demonstrations, listen to bands and generally having a good time. The Dales Festival of food and drink is a great family event and showcase of local produce and suppliers.
Leyburn 1940's weekeknd
21st to 23rd July 2017
Leyburn turns back it's clocks around the Market town for a 2 day event, a spectacular event with lots of activities happening across the weekend.
Kettlewell Scarecrow Festival
12th to 20tht August
Follow the theme of the trail to take you round our idyllic Yorkshire village. Solve the riddles of the trail to find the mystery word – with prizes to be won every day!
Medieval Music In The Dales
7th to 10th September 2017
Medieval Music in the Dales is an annual medieval music festival wholly dedicated to medieval music-making. It's unique in the UK. Set at the beautiful Bolton Castle in Wensleydale the concerts, medieval tavern and feast make this an event to remember.
