Grand Northern Ukulele Festival

ArtWaves Festival at Brdlington Spa

13th & 14th May
ArtWaves Festival is a visual art festival returning to Bridlington to showcase traditional, digital, contemporary and urban art through a vibrant programme of workshops, demonstrations, talks, exhibitions, have-a-go activities, installations and so much more.

Beverley Early Music Festival

25th to 29th May
In this landmark year, the Festival, organised by the National Centre for Early Music, York, (NCEM), in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council, will present its most ambitious programme to date. The historic Yorkshire market town of Beverley will be filled with some of the world's finest musicians, including The Tallis Scholars, The Carnival Band and the orchestral ensemble La Serenissima. Highlights will include workshops for singers; illustrated lectures and concerts for families.

Malton Food Lovers Festival

27 & 28th May
Malton's annual celebration of Yorkshire produce and cookery, with a varied and packed programme including celebrity chefs, cooking demonstrations, delicious street food, over 160 market stalls of local produce, family entertainment, tastings, talks and to wash it all down a beer, champagne and cider festival!

Great British Food Festival

27th to 29th May
An action packed foodie weekend with Men vs Food, chef Demos, the Cake Off, workshops, artisan market, kids corner and kids cookery classes, plus foraging walks all set in the beautiful grounds of Harewood House.

Sheffield Food Festival

27th to 29th May
A full artisan food market and tempting street food traders. Budding chefs and novices alike can find inspiration in the festival demo tent, where professional local chefs will demonstrate their skills, followed by chances to taste their creations. And don’t miss BBC Radio Sheffield’s laugh-a-minute Ready, Steady, Cook! competitions each day, pitting presenters and chefs against each other in fast paced cooking battles.

Swaledale Festival

27th May to 10th June
Swaledale Festival is an annual celebration of music and arts in the beautiful landscape of the three northernmost Yorkshire Dales - Swaledale, Wensleydale and Arkengarthdale.
This year, as always, the Swaledale Festival offers an eclectic and inspiring mix of world class classical, folk and jazz music, exceptional young artists, entertaining groups, drama, film, dance, art exhibitions, workshops, talks and guided walks in the beautiful Dales landscape.
