The GREAT NORTH ART SHOW is a vibrant open exhibition established in 2001 to promote the quality and diversity of contemporary art in the Northwith thousands of visitors annually from home and abroad
It is an exciting opportunity to enjoy a broad range of quality art by established and emerging artists, set against the magnificent backdrop of Ripon Cathedral in North Yorkshire; definitely not to be missed.

Art In The Gardens

2nd & 3rd September
Art in the Gardens is an annual event in a beautiful venue. Sheffield Botanical Gardens are transformed into an art and craft village, where you can wander round and enjoy (and purchase) all the fine exhibits on display. The whole family can enjoy a day out as there are fun activities to encourage children to enjoy ‘art and the environment’.

Medieval Music In The Dales

7th to 10th September 2017
Medieval Music in the Dales is an annual medieval music festival wholly dedicated to medieval music-making. It's unique in the UK. Set at the beautiful Bolton Castle in Wensleydale the concerts, medieval tavern and feast make this an event to remember.

Leeds International Beer Festival

7th to 10th September
An annual 4 day festival celebrating and promoting caft beer from the UK & overseas. Along with 100's of beers and ciders the festival has a street food market and live music on two stages.

Ripon International Festival

2nd to 22nd September

A world-class celebration of great orchestras, chamber and folk concerts, recitals, drama, literature and beautiful puppetry in magnificent Ripon Cathedral, the Royal Hall - Harrogate’s “Palace of Gold”, Markenfield Hall – unique moated medieval manor and ancient village churches. Heritage Open Days in Yorkshire

7th to 10th September
Heritage Open Days is England's biggest festival of history and culture involving over 40,000 volunteers. Every year over four days in September, thousands of events across the country invite you in to explore local treasures of every age, style and function. Saltaire Festival

8th to 17th September
A celebration of the arts, community and the village’s unique history, the festival usually runs over a period of 10 days and attracts more than 30,000 people to enjoy some 100+ events.

Staithes Festival of Arts & Heritage

9th & 10th September
Staithes Festival has established itself as one of the friendliest festival on the coast – a must-go-to event in the regional arts calendar. During the weekend some 100+ cottages in the village become temporary art galleries in a unique selling exhibition. Staithes heritage is also celebrated in fossils, fishing, historic photographs and film shows. There will be live music, busking, workshops, walks, talks and food and drink.

Harrogate Autumn Flower Show

15th to 17th September
Featuring beautiful show gardens, stunning plant nursery displays, live expert demonstrations and great garden shopping, it offers everything you need to plan and perfect your outdoor space.
Our famous giant vegetable competition is set to wow visitors as colossal carrots, monster marrows and podgy parsnips weigh in for the battle of the bulge.

Fashion Fiesta

21st September
Fashion Fiesta 2017 will see entrepreneurial designers and independent fashion houses take to the runway to battle it out to win one of three coveted prizes. With a focus on business support, the prizes will help the talented designers take their work to the next level. As well as enjoying the fashion show there will be ample opportunity to network within the majestic surroundings of The Midland Hotel. All money raised from the evening will help support the community programmes of Bradford-based charity, One in a Million, who provide disadvantaged children and young people in Bradford with access to sports and arts programmes in their neighbourhood. A raffle and silent auction (with some fantastic prizes to be won!) will be held on the night to raise as much money as possible for a very worthy cause.

York Food Festival

22nd September to 1st October
The festival includes the usual plethora of foodie events with demontsrations, markets, tastings, dinners and to keep with the theme includes art, photography and poetry competitions.

Holmfirth Food & Drink Festival

22nd to 24th September
Holmfirth's annual celebration of food and drink, with an abundance of local produce, local producers, opportunities to watch, tatse and buy.

Cornucopia Festival

22nd to 24th September
live music, including world music from Africa, India and Spain, great comedy, wonderful dance, brilliant cabaret, delicious food and craft beers. We have two large indoor stages plus activities all weekend long within the festival village.

Masham Sheep Fair

30th September & 1st October
A great faily day out commorating Masham's history in sheep sales, raising money for charity and providing all thise entertainment: with a Sheep Show,Sheep Racing, Craft Market, Bishop Blaize Procession, Fleece Stalls, Wool Competition, Sheepdog Demonstrations, Hand Bell Ringers, Morris Dancers, Art Exhibition and Tours of Theakstons & Black Sheep Breweries, as well as a small Children's Fair.
