Conveniently situated in Aston between Sheffield and Rotherham, Aston Springs Farm is a friendly, family-run visitor farm offering scenic farm trails, animal feeding, and experiences.
Founded by sisters Sam and Emily Swain, the farm centers around its expansive outdoor trail network and undercover animal barns. With both dedicated summer and winter trail setups, visitors can tailor their walking route through woods, fields, and wildlife ponds while meeting a diverse mix of farm livestock and smaller animals along the way.

Aston Springs Farm offers an authentic, hands-on countryside day out for families:
- Indoor Animal Barns: Greet friendly meerkats, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, and aviary birds in the sheltered main barns.
- Meet & Feed the Animals: Stroll the fields to meet rare breed pigs, sheep, goats, alpacas, llamas, red deer, donkeys, ponies, chickens, and rheas. Bags of animal feed can be purchased at reception.
- Children’s Outdoor Play Area: Timber play equipment, swings, and climbing frames for kids to burn off energy.
- Wildlife Ponds & Dinosaur Swamp: Explore natural ponds and the all new Dinosaur Swamp.

Summer Trails, Winter Routes & The Winter Barn ❄️☀️
The farm adapts its routes across the seasons. During warmer months, the full Summer Trail extends through open paddocks, woodland, and down to the wildlife ponds. In the colder months, a shorter all-weather Winter Trail operates, supported by the undercover Winter Barn, which brings larger animals inside so visitors can enjoy up-close encounters out of the cold.
Aston's Restaurant & Courtyard ☕🍳
Located on-site, Aston's Restaurant serves cooked breakfasts, hearty lunchtime specials, Sunday roasts, freshly brewed coffees, and cakes. Outdoor seating is available in the courtyard, and dedicated picnic benches are set up along the trail for those bringing their own snacks.

Opening Hours
Wednesday to Monday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Last farm admission 3:15 PM).
Tuesdays: CLOSED (except selected school holiday dates).
Dog Policy
To protect free-roaming farm animals and livestock, only registered assistance and guide dogs are permitted on the farm trail.

Accessibility & Terrain
The restaurant, courtyard, and main barns offer level access. The outdoor farm trail includes steep hillside sections and rough unpaved ground, making it unsuitable for wheelchair users and difficult for pushchairs.

Located directly on Mansfield Road (A618) near Aston, less than 2 miles from Junction 31 of the M1 motorway. Ample free on-site parking is available for all farm and restaurant guests.

Local bus routes running between Sheffield, Rotherham, and Worksop stop along Mansfield Road near the entrance. The closest rail stations are Kiveton Park and Woodhouse (a short taxi journey away).
