Maintained by Sheffield City Council, the animal farm is surrounded by 248 acres of rolling parkland, boating lakes, ancient woodland, and large adventure playgrounds—making it an ideal, budget-friendly day out for families with young children.

Entry to the animal farm is FREE (though small optional donations to support animal welfare and maintenance are greatly appreciated).
Opening Hours
Open daily 7 days a week from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM (gates close at 4:00 PM). Main park grounds remain open until dusk.
Dog Policy
Dogs are permitted across the main parkland on leads, but are restricted inside the main animal farm compound to protect livestock.

Accessibility

Frequent local bus services (including the 20, 24, and 25 routes from Sheffield City Centre) stop right outside the park gates along Chesterfield Road and Hemsworth Road.
