Situated on Bewholme Road just outside the coastal town of Hornsea, Honeysuckle Farm has been welcoming families for over 30 years with its traditional, hands-on farming experiences.
Set across peaceful East Yorkshire countryside, the farm is famous for its heavy Shire horses, traditional cart rides, cow milking demonstrations, and delicious homemade Jersey ice cream—making it a perfect family day out when visiting the East Coast.

Honeysuckle Farm offers a fantastic range of farmyard activities tailored for toddlers and primary school children:
- Horse-Drawn Cart Rides: Take a scenic ride around the farm fields pulled by the farm’s magnificent resident Shire heavy horses (included with admission).
- Live Cow Milking Demonstrations: Watch daily interactive demonstrations learning how cows are milked and how Jersey milk is processed.
- Meet & Feed the Animals: Get up close with pigs, sheep, goats, calves, donkeys, ducks, and rabbits. Bags of animal feed are available at reception.
- Straw Play Barn & Outdoor Playgrounds: Children can dive into giant straw bale play areas, explore wooden fort playgrounds, ride pedal tractors, and play in sandpits.
- Country Walks & Ponds: Follow scenic nature trails winding past wildlife ponds and quiet countryside meadows.
The Farm Tearoom & Ice Cream Parlour 🍦
Honeysuckle Farm produces its own famous Jersey milk ice cream on-site in a variety of delicious flavours. The tearoom also serves hot tea, coffee, light snacks, and cakes. Plenty of outdoor picnic benches are scattered around the grounds for families bringing packed lunches.

Admission includes the horse-drawn cart ride and milking demonstrations.
Opening Hours
Open seasonally from Easter through September (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM). Open weekends and daily during school holiday periods.
Dog Policy
Well-behaved dogs on short leads are welcome across the farm and outdoor walking paths (assistance dogs only inside main buildings).
