Discover the Hall: 400 Years of Family History
Built in the 1620s for George Calvert, the founder of Maryland, USA, Kiplin Hall has been home to four families (the Calverts, Crowes, Carpenters, and Talbots), all linked by blood or marriage.
Explore Grounds and Gardens
With 90 acres of parkland, Kiplin offers a variety of outdoor experiences. From the walled gardens filled with produce used in the cafe, the formal white gardens and the wilder woodland and lakeside parkland walks.
Nature and Wildlife
Visitors can traverse a diverse mosaic of habitats, including a lakeside walk, woodland and wetland areas accessible via immersive boardwalks, all featuring strategically placed bird hides for spotting a range of local and migratory species.
Family Fun and Activities
Kiplin is designed for all ages to enjoy together, with a range of family-friendly activities and facilities including the Playship, a wonderful playroom of Hall related play activities, seasonal trails and Wild Wednesday nature activities.

- Dogs: Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the gardens, grounds, and the cafe. Only assistance dogs are permitted inside the Hall.
- Accessibility: The ground floor of the Hall and most garden paths are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair Loan Available, Accessible Toilets on site.
