Tractor Fest 2026:
The Ultimate Family Adventure at Newby Hall

Vintage Tractors lined up outside Newby Hall at Tractor in June

Posted on 25th January 2026

Looking for a day out that will keep everyone from toddlers to grandparents smiling? Tractor Fest is returning to Newby Hall & Gardens on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June 2026.

While it’s famous as the UK’s largest vintage tractor show, it has evolved into a massive, action-packed family festival. Here is how to make the most of your family visit this June.

🎡 For Tractor Fans

New for 2026: Every year, the Yorkshire Vintage Association (YVA) chooses special themes to highlight the history of agricultural engineering. For 2026, the spotlight is shining on:

  • 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Made in Scotland: A massive showcase celebrating Scottish engineering. Expect to see legendary marques like Reekie and diverse machinery that kept the Highlands and Lowlands farming for decades.
  • 🚜 80 Years of Zetor: Can you believe it’s been eight decades since the first Zetor tractor rolled off the line? There will be a dedicated anniversary line-up featuring these Czech classics.
  • 🏗️ Motor Rollers: If you love heavy metal, you’re in luck. 2026 features a special display of motor rollers of all shapes and sizes—the giants that literally paved the way for modern infrastructure.

More Than Just Tractors

The event features over 2,000 exhibits in total, including:

Stationary Engines: The heartbeat of old-school farming.

Commercial Vehicles & Classic Cars: For those who prefer their vintage engines on four wheels (or more).

Trade Stands:From "autojumble" to local crafts, clothing and everything you'd expect from an country show.

Street Food & Bars

A Perfect Family Day Out

One of the best things about Tractor Fest is that your ticket isn't just for the show—it includes entry to Newby Hall’s award-winning gardens.
Enjoy the stunning gardens and let the kids burn off steam in the amazing adventure playground, ride the miniature railway, or take a boat trip down the river. Plus, keep an eye out for interactive children’s activities like mini tractor driving and face painting!
