If you’re looking for the quintessential North Yorkshire day out, mark your calendars. The Duncombe Park Country Fair is returning on Monday, 4th May 2026 (Bank Holiday Monday), and it promises to be every bit the rural spectacle we’ve come to love.
Set against the magnificent backdrop of the Duncombe Park estate in Helmsley, this isn't just a fair—it’s a celebration of Yorkshire countryside life that has been a local staple since 1982.
Country Fair Lineup
Whether you're a fan of high-octane stunts or traditional crafts, there’s a bit of everything packed into the showground:
- Main Arena Thrills: This year features the OG Stunt Action Performance Horses, alongside the crowd-favorite Mini Grand National and the chaotic fun of Terrier Racing.
- Country Pursuits: Expect gun dog displays, working ferret demonstrations and have-a-go activities if you fancy trying something new.
- The Vintage Factor: A massive collection of vintage tractors, classic cars, and steam engines that will appeal to all ages.
- Shopping and Food: A sprawling Craft Marquee and Farmers Market filled with local makers and the best Yorkshire produce.
Family and Four Legged Friends
YThis is a truly family-friendly event. Beyond the main displays, there are trampolines, axe throwing, and a traditional funfair to keep the little ones occupied.
Dogs are welcome to attend but must be kept on a short lead and under control at all times.
