The Christmas Experience transforms the historic Lotherton estate into an interactive seasonal attraction, combining indoor Edwardian holiday displays with expansive outdoor activities across the grounds.

Designed primarily for families and children, the event spans multiple areas of the property. Visitors can split their time between structured indoor activities, outdoor light installations, and the venue’s permanent visitor features standard entry grants access to.

Running from late November through the start of January, Lotherton layout divides the festivities into focused zones. The main house showcases traditional period decorations, while the surrounding gardens, woodland walks, and courtyards host the event's interactive elements and food stalls.

What's Happening 🎄

The event includes several key attractions spread across the estate:

• Illuminated Woodland Walk: A self-guided, light-up trail through the estate trees featuring themed installations, music, and interactive photo points.
• Traditional Hall Displays: The Edwardian rooms inside Lotherton Hall are decorated to reflect classic Christmas traditions, offering a look into historical holiday celebrations.
• Santa’s North Pole & Elf Village: A dedicated area housed within the grounds where children can meet Father Christmas, visit the grotto, and participate in elf-guided craft workshops (requires pre-booked tier tickets).
• Mrs. Claus’s Kitchen: Storytelling sessions and gingerbread decorating activities located in the courtyard workshop spaces.
• Wildlife World Access: Event tickets include daytime entry to Lotherton’s ongoing animal conservation park, housing penguins, flamingos, and native woodland species.
