A Great Yorkshire Christmas returns to Monk Park Farm near Thirsk for 2026, combining festive holiday activities with full access to the 84-acre parkland and farmyard animals.
Designed for a memorable family day out in North Yorkshire, the event combines personal grotto visits with Father Christmas, interactive elf workshops, festive treats, and winter animal feeding in a countryside farm setting.
The event runs on weekends from Saturday 28th November and then daily through December up to Christmas Eve, Thursday 24th December 2026. Tickets include standard farm admission alongside your scheduled festive activities.
What's Happening ๐ ๐
Key festive activities and farmyard attractions included during the event:
- Meet Father Christmas in his Grotto: Personal family audience with Santa inside his cosy winter grotto.
- The Elf Toy Shop: Children receive a golden coin from Santa to choose their own gift directly from the Elf Toy Shop shelves.
- Gingerbread Decorating: Get creative in the festive kitchen workshop by decorating seasonal gingerbread treats to take home.
- Reindeer Food & Letter Writing: Blend a pouch of magic reindeer food for Christmas Eve and write letters to post at the Elf Post Office.
- Winter Animal Encounters: Pet and feed the farm's resident animals, including goats, sheep, alpacas, deer, and calves in the covered barns.
- Indoor Play Barn & Festive Cafรฉ: Warm up in the indoor play area and enjoy hot drinks, mince pies, and festive lunches at the Hungry Monk Cafรฉ.
