Step into a brand new magical world as Northern Lights Leeds returns to the historic grounds of Temple Newsam with an all-new theme and trail for 2026: 'The Lost Light of Christmas'!

Running from 20th November through to 31st December 2026, this outdoor light trail transforms the parkland into a fairy realm packed with immersive light installations, interactive voice-activated displays, glowing foxglove fields, and cosy fireside zones.

Designed for visitors of all ages, the trail guides guests through an enchanted woodland journey where you help restore colour to the world. Alongside the light trail, the event features a vibrant Christmas Village packed with hot food traders, festive drinks, and fire pits.

Trail Installations & Highlights 🌟✨

What you can experience along 'The Lost Light of Christmas' trail:

• Faerie Way & Springin' Spriggans: Walk glowing pathways flanked by playful Christmas sprites dancing across the grounds.
• The Keeper of Christmas: A giant illuminated face welcoming visitors and setting the quest to discover the lost light.
• Geyser of Eld: A rainbow-lit fountain bursting over the parkland ponds.
• Whisper and Wish: Twelve enchanted trees that react to the sound of your voice to carry your winter wishes skyward.
• Shadow Play: Step inside illuminated circles to see your silhouette twirl and shimmer into life.
• Faerie Tree & Enchanted Flora: Tie a ribbon to a swirling ancient woodland giant and wander fields of glowing purple, pink, and white foxgloves.
• Fireside Fiesta: Cosy up around open fire pits with festive treats and warming drinks.
• Beacon of Light & Step into Christmas: Stroll beneath shimmering mirror balls and a golden, red, and green rainbow finale.
