Halloween at Brodsworth Hall & Gardens returns for October half-term, offering a family-friendly week of ghostly trails, outdoor storytelling, and autumn garden walks near Doncaster.

Organized by English Heritage, the event transforms the Victorian mansion's formal gardens, pleasure grounds, and woodland paths into an interactive Halloween quest. Designed primarily for families with children, it offers lighthearted, atmospheric fun without intense scares.

The Halloween event runs throughout October half-term week from Saturday 24th October to Sunday 1st November 2026. Activities take place daily during normal daytime site opening hours from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Key activities included during Halloween half-term at Brodsworth Hall:

• Interactive Halloween Garden Trail: Follow a self-guided activity trail winding through the formal gardens, rock garden, and woodland walks to solve riddles and uncover spooky secrets.
• Live Spooky Storytellers: Costumed performers hosting outdoor storytelling sessions filled with local folklore, ghostly tales, and comedic fables.
• Fancy Dress Competition: Daily costume gatherings encouraging children and families to come dressed as ghosts, witches, and autumn monsters.
• Autumn Woodland & Play Area: Explore the restored Victorian gardens in their vibrant autumn colors, alongside the dedicated outdoor children's play area.
• Tearoom Hot Treats: The on-site tea room serves warm drinks, autumn soups, and themed sweet treats throughout the day.
