The Great Yorkshire Pumpkin Festival returns to Monk Park Farm near Thirsk, transforming the 84-acre site into a month-long celebration of autumn harvest, pumpkin picking, and family entertainment.
With thousands of pumpkins spread across the field, the event offers full-day admission packages that combine access to the farm park and animal feed barns with seasonal games, live shows, and a dedicated indoor carving barn.
The 2026 Pumpkin Festival runs on selected dates from Saturday 3rd October to Saturday 31st October 2026. Daytime sessions run from 10:00am to 5:00pm, with full farm admission tickets including a Β£3.50 voucher to use toward your pumpkin purchase.
What's Happening ππ
Key highlights across the pumpkin patch and farm park include:
- The Great Yorkshire Pumpkin Patch: Thousands of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes to pick straight from the field.
- Pumpkin Carving Barn: Carve your chosen pumpkin on-site using supplied tools and leave the messy scoopings behind!
- Free Carnival Games & Bale Mountain: Interactive carnival stalls, timber axe throwing, and a giant bale mountain to climb.
- Live Entertainment & Photo Displays: Costumed characters, stage entertainment, and themed photo backdrops throughout the patch.
- Full Farm Admission: Meet, pet, and feed the farm's resident animals, plus enjoy the outdoor adventure playgrounds and barrel train rides.
Family & Adults-Only Pumpkin Nights πβ¨
On selected October evenings (5:30pm β 8:30pm), the farm hosts special after-dark events:
- Family Pumpkin Nights: After-dark farm access, illuminated patch picking, carnival games, and cozy evening atmosphere for all ages.
- Adults-Only Pumpkin Nights (18+): A child-free evening with illuminated pumpkin picking, street food, and drinks served from the Ewe La La bar.

Footwear & Clothing
The pumpkin field can get muddy after autumn rain. Wellies or sturdy outdoor boots and warm layers are strongly advised.
Accessibility
Main farm buildings, indoor play barn, and tearoom feature gravel and paved access. Grass pumpkin field paths may be uneven in wet weather.
