Autumn scenery and woodland paths inside oriental-themed Peasholm Park in Scarborough

Posted on 27th August 2026

Autumn Daze returns to Scarborough’s oriental-themed Peasholm Park on Wednesday 28th October 2026, offering a range of free, outdoor family activities set within the park's vibrant autumnal woodland.

Designed as a budget-friendly event during the October half-term, the festival brings hands-on nature activities, outdoor skill workshops, and seasonal stalls directly into Peasholm Park’s central lawns and surrounding grounds.

The event runs for a single day during half term from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Activities are centered entirely within Peasholm Park itself—concentrated around the park putting greens, shelters, and woodland walkways. Full 2026 line-up details will be confirmed closer to the date, but visitors can drop in freely throughout the day.

What's Happening 🍁

Specific schedules for 2026 are still being finalized. As an example of what to expect, previous Autumn Daze events held in Peasholm Park featured the following activities:

  • Bushcraft & Outdoor Skills: Hands-on bushcraft demonstrations and primitive fire-starting sessions hosted around the putting green.
  • Marshmallow Toasting: Dedicated fire pit zones on-site where families could toast marshmallows outdoors.
  • Park Scavenger Trails: Self-guided nature walks and scavenger hunts around the lake and woodland paths.
  • Seasonal Crafts: Drop-in craft workshops held at the park shelter near Peasholm Café, using natural foraged materials.
  • Local Stalls & Displays: Stalls featuring birds of prey, wildlife groups, face painters, and local food vendors.
