Get ready to test your wits, explore the city, and see Leeds in a completely new light! Following the massive success of the MONOPOLY Leeds Takeover in 2024, LeedsBID has once again partnered with global toy and game giant Hasbro to bring another iconic game off the table and onto the streets.

From Saturday 25th July to Sunday 30th August 2026, the city center will transform into a live, interactive, giant version of TRIVIAL PURSUIT. Marking exactly 400 years since Leeds was granted its royal charter, this massive summer event invites families, competitive friends, and quiz buffs to celebrate four centuries of Leeds' history, people, and secrets—one question at a time.

Best of all? It is completely FREE to take part, making it the ultimate budget-friendly day out for the school summer holidays.

Reimagining the Board Game

The rules are simple: players journey across pedestrianized zones in the city center, visiting six key locations that represent the traditional TRIVIAL PURSUIT categories. At each location, you'll put your knowledge to the test to answer a Leeds-themed question and collect your colored wedge stickers.

YWith both classic and junior questions available at every checkpoint, the experience is perfectly tailored for all ages, from trivia masters to junior explorers.

Helping to bring the city's stories to life is a star-studded lineup of famous local and national faces with a Leeds connection. Keep your eyes peeled for virtual appearances from your favorite personalities acting as guest quizmasters!

• Leeds-born presenter Alex Zane will guide you through the city's incredible musical heritage.
• Famous actors Angela Griffin and Jim Moir (Vic Reeves) will be setting cultural challenges.
• You'll even face virtual questions from the likes of Ryder Cup European team captain Luke Donald and the Governor of the Bank of England, Andrew Bailey!

The Central Hub: Leeds City Museum 🏛️

Once you have successfully answered your questions and filled your game card with all six classic wedges, make your way to the grand Brodrick Hall inside Leeds City Museum. This serves as the game's Central Hub.

Here, you'll face one final, random question to score your seventh sticker and complete the game. Alongside the main challenge, the museum is running a "Summer Zone" family space packed with interactive board game socials, creative crafts, and pop-up activities throughout August!

Completing the game isn't just about local bragging rights. Anyone who successfully completes their game card and grabs that final 7th sticker at the Central Hub can enter the weekly prize draw.

Getting There

By Road 🚗

If you are driving into Leeds, utilizing the city's Park & Ride sites (Elland Road, Stourton, or Temple Green) is highly recommended to avoid inner-city traffic.

• Parking: If you prefer to park centrally, secure multi-storey options are located directly at key checkpoints, including the Merrion Centre Car Park, Victoria Gate Car Park, and Trinity Leeds Parking.

By Train 🚂

Leeds City Station is the primary gateway for the event. The station sits directly adjacent to Trinity Leeds (the Entertainment checkpoint) and Wellington Place (Geography), meaning you can start your game within moments of stepping off the platform.

By Bus 🚌

Leeds City Bus Station is roughly an 8-minute walk from the Leeds Corn Exchange checkpoint. Frequent local bus services run directly into the city center from across West Yorkshire, including Wakefield, Bradford, Huddersfield, and Harrogate.
