The traditional countdown to Christmas will commence with the Christmas Lights switch-on to be held in Otley Market Place. This event will start at 5.45pm with a range of music entertainment and a range of attractions in the square, followed by a firework display.

Hull’s Christmas lights will be switched on in Queen Victoria Square.
As always, the annual Christmas Lights switch-on will include a host of special guests and performers on the balcony of City Hall.

York Christmas Market

With 75 alpine chalets lining Parliament Street and St Sampson’s Square, the market offers a magical array of local crafts, artisan products, and delicious seasonal treats. The vintage carousel on King’s Square adds to the festive atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for families and visitors alike.
Light Up Wakefield District

Light Up will return to start of the festive season. Light Up events take place in Wakefield, Castleford, Pontefract Castle and Pontefract. including Christmas light switch-ons, festive markets, street entertainment, choirs and more.
Sheffield Christmas Market
14th November to 24th December 2024
This market has grown from a handful of cabins on the main shopping area of Sheffield to an entire christmas experience of 50 cabins. Santas Grotto is at the heart of the event with the much loved Sleigh Bar and the traditional German Sausage grill.
Scarborough Lights

Scarborough Lights is the first event in The Scarborough Fair programme and will see the whole town sparkle and shine from
